HEAR is a Christian homeschool support group in Roxboro, NC that serves Person County and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to support, nurture, and encourage the Christian homeschooling family. Simply put, we are Christian parents who homeschool. We get together to socialize, share advice, and generally help each other out. Participating in HEAR gives you the opportunity to meet other homeschooling families, ask questions of veteran homeschoolers, learn about different educational approaches, find out about local events and participate in HEAR events. |

40 Days of Prayer
Beginning May 1st, you have the opportunity to join us in 40 days of prayer as we seek God's wisdom and guidance for the HEAR group's upcoming year. Proverbs 19:21 tells us, "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." During these 40 days, we will seek for God to align our vision with His. Each week, there will be a specific topic we will ask you to pray about on behalf of our group. We ask that you and your family spend time daily during these 40 days praying boldly for our group, our vision, our leaders, and each other.
Week One (SHOUT): May 1st - May 7th
Week Two (SEEK): May 8th - May 14th
Week Three (SHARE): May 15th - May 21st
Week Four (SERVE): May 22nd - May 29th

NCHE Annual Conference & Book Fair
May 23 - 25, 2012 Winston-Salem, NC Each year the North Carolinians for Home Education (NCHE) Association holds a conference and a huge book fair in Winston-Salem. This is a great event for all homeschool families - from those considering homeschooling to veteran homeschool families. The book fair is a wonderful opportunity to look through curriculum and speak to vendors regarding the curriculum. Visit NCHE's conference website for more information about this event including this year's workshops and guest speakers. Here's a tip, register early to save money. NCHE offers an Early Bird special for those who register before the event!
