Interest Fair 2019

What is it? An interest fair is intended to be a sharing of passions and knowledge. The children get to dive into their interests and share knowledge with their friends and parents. When is it? Nov 7th register by Nov 1st Setup is at 6:00 and fair is 6:30 -7:30 What can the topic be? Your child can pick anything they are interested in. They can pick anything from a school topic to Fortnite. The topic can be a hobby or something they like to collect. It could be insects, phases of the Moon, ballet, hunting, origin of the Olympics, raising chickens, baking bread, coding, or the history of your favorite game. The idea is the child picks something they are interested in and research it deeper to find out more. Any interest can be turned into a project. Who can participate? All ages can participate. The parents can decide what is expected of the child. How should I present my information? A table top presentation. You can use a trifold board or be as creative as you want. Since this is a topic that interests the child it can be a show and tell of sorts. You could show a collection, build a replica, or have a demonstration. Your display can be as simple or as elaborate as you want. What information should I include? The child should dive as deep into the subject as they can. The requirements can be set by the parent. It would be great if they can teach everyone something new. If the child picked a broad topic they may discover they need to narrow their choice as they investigate further. This event will not be judged. Everyone will receive something for participating. Be sure to register by November 1st.
