Field Trip based Book Club!

Kids read to go on fun local field trips!

Ages: ​  All Ages! Some books will be geared towards elementary aged students, but all students are welcome to join us. Parents, you may help your students with these books. Kids should be able to comprehend the book well enough to discuss.

HEAR Members can read more about the books, trip location, and register for the event on the members page of our website or the calendar of events.

Trips:  The entire family is welcome to attend the field trip, but we do ask that at least one child in the family read the book relating to the trip. We will pick a time during the trip (before, lunch/snack, after) to discuss the book as a group. Those who have read the book will join the discussion while others can continue to enjoy the location. 


Books:  A HEAR member volunteers to lead each trip and therefore chooses the book and location. If for whatever reason the book or location does not work for your family, you do not have to register for that event. You register for each book/trip individually.

You do not have to attend every event! Choose which books fit your schedule!
