Reed Gold Mine Field Trip

Located in the Charlotte region, Reed Gold Mine is the site of the first documented gold find in the U.S.

Children will pan for gold outside after taking a tour of the gold mine. 

Masks are required when inside but not while outside. Picnic tables are available for lunch.

Tour Cost
$2 per person ages 13 & up;
$1 per person 5 - 12.
No charge for children under 5 for the tour.

Panning Cost
Panning is an additional $2.25 per pan. Children under 8 will need some to assist them with panning. Families may share pans.

Please pay at the event. Cash Only. 

There is a maximum of 50 participants total (adults and children for this event).
